Version 2.0 — Complete Policy & Legal Framework
Effective: April 22, 2026
Consolidation and expansion of all platform policies into a single canonical framework, published at /policies.html. Material additions:
- Application-First Model formally named as a contractual policy.
- Application Review Timeline — explicit 24–72 hour SLA after payment confirmation, with documented factors for faster or slower processing.
- Communication / SMS Consent — express written consent language for transactional SMS, including HELP / STOP instructions and message-and-data-rates disclosure.
- Binding Arbitration & Class Action Waiver — added with conspicuous formatting, AAA Consumer Rules, individual-claim small-claims carveout, and severability clause.
- Force Majeure — added as a standalone clause covering acts of God, infrastructure outages, and government action.
- Limitation of Liability cap — total aggregate liability now capped at the greater of (a) the amount paid to Choice Properties in the prior 12 months or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars.
- Property Access & Viewing Policy — promoted from implied terms to a standalone section.
- Acceptance / Electronic Consent — added as a closing block with explicit acknowledgement language.
- Refund & Applicant Protection Policy — explicit cases for refund eligibility (material misrepresentation, verified inability to complete transaction, post-payment unavailability) and non-refundable cases.
- Application form consent — applicants now expressly check Terms / Privacy / SMS consent boxes at submission, separately captured.
- Policy Changelog — this page introduced for versioned auditability.
Version 1.0 — Initial Policy Suite
